Common issues with the computerized automatic grosgrain ribbon cutting machine include continuous cutting without feeding, no action when the start button is pressed, inability to cut the ribbon during hot cutting, and uneven ribbon length. Here is an analysis of these common problems and their troubleshooting steps:

No Power Display on Panel or Lights:

Check for a damaged fuse and replace it with the appropriate specification.

Continuous Cutting without Feeding:

Adjust the proximity switch close to the sensing screw. If the issue persists, it could be a damaged proximity switch or a faulty machine casing.

No Action When Start Button is Pressed:

(1) Ensure correct values are set for pre-cut length and quantity.

(2) If pre-cut quantity matches the cut quantity, reset to zero.

(3) If the above methods fail, it may be a machine casing malfunction.

Inability to Cut Ribbon During Hot Cutting:

(1) Sharpen or replace the blade if damaged.

(2) Replace the lower cutting pad if the cutting groove is too deep.

(3) Check the ammeter, replace the heating copper if power is low.

(4) Increase the set temperature if too low.

(5) Adjust cutting frequency for thick materials.

Uneven Ribbon Length:

(1) Increase upper roller pressure.

(2) Tighten the screw securing the feed motor.

(3) Secure loose tensioners for both upper roller and feed motor.

(4) Adjust pressure on both sides of the upper roller for equal lengths.

(5) If the feed motor shakes during operation, replace the drive box.

Cold Blade Cannot Cut Ribbon:

(1) Sharpen or replace the blade if damaged.

(2) Place paper under the blade where it doesn’t cut.

(3) Adjust blade clearance by loosening and tightening the adjustment screw.

Troubleshooting for Ribbon Non-cutting Issues:

Middle Blade Bearing Breakage:

Examine and replace the bearing due to improper use.

Wear on Middle Blade Edge:

Both sides of the middle blade have edges; when one side wears out, switch to the other.

Overly Tight Tension Adjustment:

Loosen the hex screw above the adjustment nut, adjust counterclockwise, then tighten the hex screw.

Slipping or Oily Drive Belt:

Adjust the belt drive seat downward or move the coupling backward to tighten the belt.

Thin Grosgrain Ribbon or Large Gap in Belt Tensioner:

Adjust the belt tensioner gap to be only 0.5-1mm more than the ribbon thickness; replace worn tensioner rollers as needed.

Loose Strong and Weak Springs:

Adjust the spring tension by tightening clockwise.
