Common Malfunctions and Solutions of Versatile Automated Medical Tubing Cutters

Our machine is equipped with a fully digital intelligent control device, operated by keypad, allowing users to easily set cutting length/quantity, feeding speed, with precise cutting accuracy, minimal loss, and an ergonomic design for straightforward operation.

Widely applicable across various industries such as electronics (shielding materials, adhesives, insulation materials, conductive materials), tubing processing, wire harness manufacturing, automotive and motorcycle accessories, rubber and plastic processing, as well as industries like tape, zippers, electrical appliances, motors, lighting, toys, transformers, and clothing. Below, the innovative team at Bangqi Source, a versatile automated medical tubing cutter manufacturer, will introduce common malfunctions and solutions for their machines.

Common Malfunctions and Solutions of Versatile Automated Medical Tubing Cutters
1. Unable to Start with Alarm During Startup:

Issue: Overload alarm due to different positions of the upper cutting knife at startup.
Solution: Turn off the power, loosen the screws adjusting the cutting knife slide, restart the machine, adjust the screw during operation, then shut down and restart for confirmation. If issues persist, rotate the eccentric wheel after opening the front cover to change its position.
2. Normal Start but Alarm During Operation:

Issue: Tight or severely worn slide path of the cutting knife causing overload alarm.
Solution: Refer to solutions for issues one and three.
3. Common Alarm Faults:

1. Batch Pause Alarm: Intermittent beeping during batch pause; the beeping stops automatically after the pause period.
2. Abnormal Blade Alarm: Intermittent beeping with the “Blade Abnormal” prompt in the top right corner of the screen. Pressing the “Stop” button cancels the alarm.
4. Unable to Shut Down with Power Button:

Issue: Program error.
Solution: Turn off the power, reboot, and perform a factory reset (specific steps may vary).
5. Stepper Motor Not Rotating:

Issue 1: Motor rotates in only one direction.
Solution: Check connections between the motherboard and stepper driver; contact the supplier if the driver is faulty.
Issue 2: Motor doesn’t rotate in any direction.
Solution: Check power indicator on the stepper driver; inspect and reconnect cables; contact the supplier if the issue persists.
6. Cutter Running, Feeding Wheel Not Moving:

Solution: Similar to solution three. Another possibility is a broken triangular belt in the transmission system, requiring replacement.
7. Inconsistent Tube Lengths:

Causes: Improper adjustment of pressure wheels, dirty feeding wheel, worn feeding path, excessive resistance on the tube rack.
Solutions: Adjust pressure wheels based on material elasticity, clean feeding wheel, replace worn components, use a horizontal rotating material rack for better results.
8. Uneven Cutting with Burrs:

Issue: Worn cutting blade.
Solution: Replace the cutting blade; resharpening may be possible.
9. Feeding Failure:

Issue: Loose slide path causing the upper knife to stop too low, obstructing feeding.
Solution: Tighten the slide path adjustment screw to raise the position of the cutting knife.
10. Failure to Run Upon Startup:

Possible Cause: Count exceeds the set production value.
Solution: Clear the count and restart.
11. Unusual Noise During Operation:

Issue: Severe wear on the slide path causing significant swinging of the cutting frame.
Solution: Replace the slide path and cutting frame. Another cause might be vibration in the pressure roller, resolved by wrapping tape around its shaft to eliminate horizontal radial gaps.
The versatile automated medical tubing cutter series offers various models suitable for different environments, achieving diverse cutting results. Therefore, when purchasing, it is advisable to consult the cutting machine manufacturer for detailed information.
