Troubleshooting Guide for Multi-Core Cable Stripping and Crimping Machine: 13 Common Issues

  1. When stepping on the foot pedal does not activate the machine, but directly connecting the aviation plug does, it indicates a faulty foot pedal. Repair or replace the foot pedal.
  2. If there are two or more consecutive crimps, check the foot pedal. For 3-4 consecutive crimps, inspect the proximity switch.
  3. If the machine does not power on, check if the fuse is blown.
  4. If the mechanical action is slow, ensure that all contact surfaces are well lubricated, or the operating environment temperature is not excessively high.
  5. If the motor emits smoke or a burning smell, it may be burnt out. Check if the mold is jammed, causing the motor to burn out.
  6. If the mold is jammed and unable to operate, causing an alarm on the display screen, ensure that the mold and slider are adequately lubricated. Check for any damage to the upper and lower blades, improper machine adjustment, or terminal jamming on the upper blade.
  7. If the solenoid valve has a signal but the cylinder does not actuate, confirm that the air pressure is adequate. If the airflow switch is open, the solenoid valve may be burnt out, requiring replacement. The burnout may be due to moisture in the gas.
  8. If the wire is suddenly clamped and broken during machine operation, check for any wire skin residue inside the stripping blade and clean it thoroughly.
  9. If there is airflow noise when the machine is not operating, and the air pipe connection is good, it indicates damaged joints that need replacement.
  10. If the stripping blade breaks during machine operation, check if the stripping blade and wire clamping blade are properly aligned. If not, readjust the alignment. Check if the stripping blade adjustment screw is loose, and tighten it if necessary. Additionally, switch to manual mode by pressing the manual/auto button, then activate the stripping function separately. Confirm that the foot pedal operation is correct if the solenoid valve has a signal. If there is no signal, contact the manufacturer.
  11. When replacing the mold, ensure to turn off the machine power.
  12. Ensure there is no ultrasonic interference around the machine to prevent erratic machine behavior.
  13. For safety, ensure both hands are away from the machine before powering it on.
