Why Use Corrugated Tubes or Wire Harness Conduits for Wire Harnesses?

Why should wire harnesses always be encased in corrugated tubing, and not with any other alternative? This is because corrugated tubing serves a unique purpose in protecting wire harnesses. Firstly, it is highly flexible, allowing it to bend at different angles as required, a feature unmatched by other materials. Secondly, it can withstand high temperatures, is fire-resistant, easy to work with, and cost-effective. Additionally, automotive wire harness corrugated tubing is resistant to acids, alkalis, corrosion, oil, and more.

Wire harness corrugated tube materials (PA, PE, PP) are widely used in the wiring connections of machine tools, machinery, and electrical control cabinets, with compatible plastic quick connectors. Product specifications include AD7.0, AD10.0, AD11.5, AD13.0, AD15.8, AD20, AD21.2, AD25.0, AD28.5, AD30, AD32, AD34.5, AD42.5, AD54.5 (AD denotes outer diameter in mm). Colors available are black, gray, orange, and others. These products are aesthetically pleasing, lightweight, durable, and are widely used in automotive wiring harnesses, electronics, mechanical wiring harnesses, replacing traditional PVC and metal sheath products, becoming a widely used wire harness protection product in the market.

Corrugated tubing is generally not sealed because it is commonly used on main lines, and the exit direction of the main lines varies. Therefore, open-ended corrugated tubing is usually chosen. When selecting corrugated tubing, it is important to consider the working environment temperature and choose the appropriate material, such as PP corrugated tubing, PE corrugated tubing, or PA corrugated tubing. The specifications and models of corrugated tubing are determined by the inner diameter of the tubing. You should select the model based on the specifications and quantity of the wires inside the tubing, and consult the manufacturer before purchasing.

Introduction to Wire Harness Corrugated Tubing and Wire Harness Conduit:

Markings: Corrugated tubing products should be accompanied by a certificate of conformity when they leave the factory. The certificate should include the product name, company name, model, color, quantity, weight, volume, manufacturer, production date, and pressure-resistant marking.

Packaging: Continuous corrugated tubing should be packaged in coil form, bundled with cable ties, and then placed in woven bags for packaging, with each reel not exceeding 10 kg. Cut corrugated tubing can be directly bundled with cable ties, with each bundle containing no more than 2000 pieces.

Transportation: During transportation, corrugated tubing should not be subjected to heavy pressure and should avoid sharp objects causing severe impacts.

Storage: Store corrugated tubing in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from heat sources and direct sunlight exposure. Stack the tubing no higher than 1.5 meters.
